I’ve been in general practice now for more than 20 years and have treated a broad range of people and conditions. However over the years I’ve found that the majority of people who come to me are seeking help in one (or more) of these main areas:

Ways We Can Work Together:
For your convenience I offer in-person and online appointments.
In person appointments in Dun Laoghaire Therapy Centre.
Online appointments: I work with people from around the world online, via Zoom. This saves travel time and provides flexibility and accessibility even if you travel a lot for work. Online appointments are just as effective as in-person as we can still see and hear each other. Many people actually find they prefer the convenience that these offer.

As a doctor of Phytotherapy (Western Herbal Medicine) I’m trained to a similar diagnostic level as a conventional medicine G.P. to diagnose and treat a broad range of conditions. However we take a very personalised, holistic approach to each patient and strive to find the root cause/s of your condition or symptoms and to address this. In addition we are experts in herbal medicine: the science of how and why the herbs work in the body and interact with other medications. We are licensed to formulate and dispense herbal medicines for our patients.
WHAT THIS LOOKS LIKE FOR YOU:
I’ll take a thorough medical history and examine you if indicated.
Blood/ lab tests arranged if required.
We’ll explore your diet, nutrition, medications, supplements and lifestyle. You’ll leave with a simple, personalised plan/ recommendations. I believe in using food as medicine as much as possible, and keeping supplements to a minimum.
You’ll receive a personalised herbal medicine prescription to support the body’s natural healing mechanisms and encourage optimal health and well-being. We use practitioner-only herbal medicines to ensure quality and efficacy. We don’t use formulas - every prescription is as unique as you are and may change over time to accommodate your needs. You may receive a tincture or herbal tea or occasionally tablets, depending on what chemical constituents in the plant are needed. We are trained in possible herb-drug indications and can work alongside conventional medications if needed.
Follow-up consultations are usually done after 2 weeks - 1 month to check in and see how you’re doing and to adjust your herbal prescription if needed. Often once the body has found it’s natural state of health and well-being again the herbs can be discontinued and health is maintained.

E.F.T stands for Emotional Freedom Techniques, also referred to as “Tapping” for short.
These techniques have been shown through over1000 scientific studiesto be effective for many conditions and applications including trauma, PTSD, pain, anxiety, depression, panic attacks and more.
Tapping is also proven to improve performance in schools/ university, sports, performance arts and stage.
It often works in a short space of time to relieve symptoms/issues that have been there for years.
HOW CAN IT HELP YOU:
If you are struggling with anxiety, depression, over-coming trauma, a health challenge, or want to attain peak performance, working with a clinical EFT-practitioner 1-1 will help you get to the root of the issue and resolve it quickly.
Unlike traditional talk-therapy, most people only require a few sessions with a practitioner (usually between 6-10 sessions). Depending on your unique goals and needs, sometimes a single session is sufficient.
It’s been shown to be effective in reducing/resolving physical symptoms such as pain, fibromyalgia, frozen shoulder, headaches, etc.
It is possible to work in conjunction with psychologists as once underlying trauma or beliefs have been processed with EFT-Tapping, clients are more receptive to therapy.
One of the unique benefits of E.F.T-Tapping is that it can help us to uncover and change any limiting beliefs. Often these are habits-of-mind or beliefs that we picked up unconsciously while still very young, but they are holding us back now. Thoughts such as, “I’m not good enough, I’m not clever enough, I’m not lovable, I don’t deserve, the world is not safe place, life isn’t fair”, etc. are some common limiting beliefs that can be addressed effectively with E.F.T-Tapping.
It is helpful to “re-set” the nervous system, for example after an extended period of stress or trauma.
It is a simple technique to learn. I’ll teach you how to use a simple sequence that can be self-applied to help in your day to day life. Think of this as your “first-aid box”, which you can use in-between your sessions with me.
WHAT HAPPENS IN A SESSION:
We meet online or in-person and I’ll teach you the simple sequence of Tapping along some meridian points on the face and upper body that we use to signal the brain that it is safe to move into the parasympathetic side of the nervous system (rest, digest, heal, problem-solve, be creative).While in this relaxed state we will discuss a particular issue you would like to resolve and explore this using a range of psychology and energy techniques. The process connects the mind, body and nervous system, bringing you into a state of calm, healing and resolution.
We usually end the session using a sequence of eye movements (EMDR) which helps to balance the hemispheres of the brain. You will end the session feeling calm, relaxed and lighter - as though a burden or weight has been lifted from you. Sessions are usually spaced weekly or fortnightly.

Pilates is (in my opinion) the most complete and effective form of exercise. This is because it links the body and mind together through conscious, precise movement and breathwork.
It builds strength and flexibility in both body and mind.

I’ve been teaching Pilates since 2006 to people from all walks of life. I’ll meet you where you’re at and guide you to where you’d like to be. I offer 1-1 sessions and group classes online and in-person, focusing on mat-work and small equipment (I don’t offer reformer). I find using your own body-weight and small equipment (balls, bands, light weights, etc.) to be the most effective.
You will end your session feeling balanced, strong, flexible and calm.
Exercise has been shown in many studies to be therapeutic for physical and mental health and well-being. Pilates offers an enjoyable and highly effective way of incorporating movement into your life.
Due to the combination of breath with conscious movement, many people say that while they’ve worked hard and been challenged in their Pilates session, it is like a “moving meditation” and is a therapy in itself.

On-going weekly support in a group setting:
Sometimes even when we know what we need to do to stay healthy and balanced, life gets busy and it can be hard to fit in our self-care practices.
This is why I created the Reboot & Reset Membership. I wanted to offer 1 cohesive practice where we come together and practice the best science-backed tools at the beginning of each week. By starting the week off in this conscious way we set ourselves up for health, well-being and success.
Plus it just feels great to start the week off right!
WHAT TO EXPECT:
We meet live, online every Monday evening and I guide you through a series of evidence-based practices to help tone the body, mind and nervous system and get you set up for a great week.
The sessions are live so you can ask questions and get feedback, and the community is small and welcoming.
You will end each session feeling energised, balanced, calm and focused for the week ahead.
If you can’t make the live session, or would like to re-visit it during the week for extra support, you will find a recording in your Membership area.
